}}Your Royal Majesty, the Prime Minister, Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, I cannot tell you how honoured I am to be the new Prince of Shido. Today we observe a celebration of freedom--symbolising an end, as well as a beginning--signifying renewal, as well as change. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three quarters ago.

In the past three months, as the future Prince of Shido, I have contacted friends from all walks of life, including members of the Council of Shido, educational organisations, politicians，entrepreneurs, and youngsters. Tolerance, encouragement, and suggestions made me confident about the future of Shido. Although it is impossible to solve this city's problems overnight, I still believe that Shido has a good foundation. As long as we unite as one, Shido will surely achieve greater glory.

I hope and trust that in time I shall be able to offer my own contribution and to do that I seek your cooperation and understanding. Speaking for myself, as a result of my two-month stay in this prefecture, I have come to see far more in the title I hold than hitherto. I am more than grateful to the people of Shido for making my brief stay so immensely worthwhile.

So to all of my dear people, in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words. You will never be ignored again. Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams will define our prefecture's destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way. Together, we will make Shido strong again. We will make Shido wealthy again. We will make Shido proud again We will make Shido safe again, And yes, together, we will make Shido great again. Thank you. God bless you. And god bless Shido.
